Professional Overview

Alison Phillips Reichter (Ph.D., University of Minnesota) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at Louisiana Tech University. Her research broadly focuses on social influence and motivation in sport, physical activity, and health contexts. Specifically, she studies the effectiveness of health coaching programs to promote physical, mental, and social well-being outcomes. Additionally, she studies positive youth development in sport and physical activity, peer influence in sport and other extracurricular activities, and the role of peer relationships on motivational outcomes in sport and music contexts. 

Dr. Reichter is the Director of the Undergraduate Certificate in Health Coaching, an NBHWC Approved Training Program, and is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach.
