About

I am an Edmond J. Safra Nurse Faculty Scholar at the Parkinson’s Foundation (PF) and am involved in three Parkinson’s disease-related research projects (2 through OSP at Louisiana Tech with Dr. Tara Haskins and 1 as a collaborator with PF/Towson/Virginia CommonwealthU).  Funding from these projects comes from the Parkinson’s Foundation. I am also part of a collaboration between Nursing and Entrepreneurship funded by Living Well Foundation: AI to Reduce AED Response Time (Hood, Sweitzer, McFadden). I have a certificate in Qualitative Research from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing. I am PI for Perkins Basic Grant for the Division of Nursing. Additional research interests relate to developing empathy and technology skills in nursing students
