Dustin Whitlock

Dr. Dustin S. Whitlock serves as Interim Department Chair and Assistant Professor in the Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership at Louisiana Tech University. With more than a decade of experience in secondary and higher education, his work focuses on teacher preparation, novice teacher development, curriculum innovation, and the integration of technology in learning environments. He earned his Ed.D. in 21st Century Learning from Johns Hopkins University, where his research examined novice teacher development in project-based learning schools. Dr. Whitlock’s scholarship includes publications on field experiences, post-COVID classroom teaching, and program assessment, alongside active research in literacy curriculum, cybersecurity education, and secondary education. He has presented nationally on co-teaching, clinical performance data, and technology-enhanced instruction. Recognized with multiple teaching and leadership awards, Dr. Whitlock remains committed to advancing educator preparation and building partnerships that support student success across K–12 and higher education.
