About

Kevin Watson is the Jack and Peggy Byrd Endowed Professor of Supply Chain Management at Louisiana Tech University. He received a Ph.D. in Operations Management from The University of Georgia in 2002, holds an M.B.A. from East Tennessee State University, and a B.S. from Auburn University. His academic and professional interests involve supply chain management, environmental management, and the theory of constraints. He has published a number of articles in leading academic journals including the Journal of Operations Management, the International Journal of Production Research, Production Planning & Control, and Management of Environmental Quality. Dr. Watson has worked on research projects sponsored by the U.S. Navy, NASA, and the Veterans Administration. In addition to his academic work, he has consulted with several Fortune 500 companies designing, reviewing, and evaluating manufacturing and supply chain systems. Dr. Watson is a former Vice President for Education for the New Orleans chapter of APICS and has been recognized for instructional excellence for teaching CPIM certification modules. Dr. Watson currently serves TOCICO as chair for the supply chain management certification exam.
